Walking and More
This was an activity filled weekend. Grandma Ginny was dropped off on Saturday at the airport after spending several weeks in the Bay Area. She was able to participate in Alex's High School graduation and Madeline's musical Peter Pan in which she portrayed Tiger Lily. As usual Michaela and Mariah attended their ballet classes after Grandma was sped away to the airport. The four of us went out for a nice seafood dinner in the evening. Sunday, we woke up and made blueberry cornmeal pancakes, which thankfully turned out good enough for everyone in the family. Next, the girls and Michael got on their bikes and we started on the path North. I walked, since Mariah still needs help with her bike. We rode/ walked 2 1/2 miles and luckily got to sit down and eat lunch, since it was a difficult ride for Mariah, since she has never biked so far before. Next we turned around and went home. Michaela rode all the way home, while Mariah hitched a ride on the back of Michael's bike. There, Tim, Lars, and Lauren was waiting for us with a big delivery of meat. The girls played for a few hours before Lauren had to go home.
